Histoire générale de la Province de Quercy, publiée par ... L. Combarieu et F. Cangardel
A multi-volume regional history of the old French province of Quercy by Guillaume Lacoste, edited posthumously by Louis Combarieu and François Cangardel and printed in 1883 for local antiquarians and scholars. The plates here are small relief-cut tailpieces in Renaissance-revival style: grotesque lion and human masks framed by scrolls, strapwork, bead swags, foliate sprays and paired putti, usable as printer's ornaments, spot motifs or symmetrical cartouche frames.
