Rouen pittoresque ... Dessins par M. Lalanne. Texte par Allais, C. de Beaurepaire, Dubosc, Félix, Hédou, H. de Lapommeraye
A topographical album of Rouen published in 1886, with etched views by Maxime Lalanne and text by local antiquarians and scholars including Henri Allais, Georges Dubosc and Julien Félix, aimed at Norman readers and collectors of city views. The plates are fine-line etchings of narrow streets, timber-framed gables, cathedral spires and arched gateways, with figures and market stalls sketched loosely at street level, useful for architectural line detail, receding street perspectives and pale hatched skies.
