A Scottish topographical view-book of 1830, drawn by John Fleming, engraved by Joseph Swan and described by John M. Leighton, issued in Glasgow for local subscribers and travellers along the River Clyde. The 43 steel engravings show country houses, castles and harbour towns set in wide river valleys, with framing trees, sailing smacks, cattle and small figures useful as landscape vignettes, borders and scale-giving staffage.
