A Topographical Dictionary of England ... and the Islands of Guernsey, Jersey and Man ... with maps ... and a plan of London, etc
Samuel Lewis's Topographical Dictionary of England, published in London in 1835 by S. Lewis & Co. as a gazetteer of parishes and boroughs for antiquaries, clergy and property men. The wood-engraved cuts show municipal seals and coats of arms in scrolled cartouches, each captioned and set into the text column, giving designers heraldic shields, supporter beasts, lettered seal rings and foliate frames.
