Route from Liverpool to Great Salt Lake Valley illustrated ... from sketches ... by Frederick Piercy, and containing a map of the overland portion of the journey. Edited by J. Linforth. [With plates, including portraits
A guide and travel narrative of the Mormon emigrant route, drawn from Frederick Hawkins Piercy's sketches and edited by James Linforth, issued in Liverpool in 1855 by Franklin D. Richards for Latter-day Saints bound for Utah. Steel-engraved plates give wide horizontal landscapes with high pale skies, river bluffs, distant settlements, ox teams and tented camps, plus portraits and an overland map, useful for panoramic vignettes, silhouetted tree groups and fine tonal hatching.
