The Haven under the Hill. A novel
A three-volume Victorian novel by the Whitby writer Mary Linskill, issued in London by Richard Bentley & Son in 1886 for the circulating-library readership. The plates here are the printer's stock ornaments: wedge-shaped floral tailpieces in solid black silhouette or fine outline, with clover, Tudor rose, scrolling stems and dotted berries, usable as chapter breaks, corner fills and small spot motifs.
