An anthology of English and Scottish domestic verse selected by Charles Mackay, illustrated by various artists and engraved by the Brothers Dalziel, issued by Routledge & Sons in 1883 for Victorian family reading. The wood engravings are arched or rectangular sentimental scenes of couples, children and woodland landscapes, each set inside a printed border of flowers and scrollwork in green, blue or red, with a line of verse below; the borders and arched frames are usable on their own.
