A local history of Chenôve, a village near Dijon, written by Henri Marc and published in France in 1893 with a map and illustrations for regional readers and antiquarians. Most of the plates are small typographic ornaments printed in pale grey: Renaissance-style bracket and console vignettes built from human masks, putti, griffins, scrolling foliage and hanging swags, useful as chapter headpieces, tailpieces and symmetrical corner motifs.
