A serial part-work on Britain's colonial possessions written by Robert Montgomery Martin and issued by John Tallis & Co. in London and New York around 1851, addressed to statesmen, merchants, manufacturers and intending emigrants. The plates run to engraved part-wrappers crowded with mixed display type, rule borders and royal arms, alongside colonial maps and portraits useful for decorative letterpress layouts and heraldic devices.
