By Solent and Danube. Poems and ballads
A collection of poems and ballads by William Wilsey Martin, issued in London by Trübner & Co. in 1885 for Victorian readers of verse. The plates are outline pen drawings of single flowering stems — honeysuckle, crown imperial, a broad-leaved plant in seed — hatched lightly and set on blank ground, usable as headpieces, chapter marks or small botanical spot art.
