Half an Hour with a good author. By Himself
A short humorous prose piece by Arthur Matthison, printed in London in 1872 for general Victorian readers, held by the British Library. The illustrations are small wood-engraved tailpiece vignettes: a symmetrical wild geranium spray repeated with slight variations, and a wreathed cluster of rose, thistle and shamrock — compact line ornaments usable as page breaks, spot motifs or repeat elements.
