Just a Love Story ... Illustrated
An illustrated domestic romance novel by L. T. Meade (Elizabeth Thomasina Meade Smith), issued in London by Spencer Blackett in 1890 for a readership of girls and young women. Eleven tonal plates, captioned with lines of dialogue and page numbers, show young women in bustled dresses talking, reading letters and nursing the sick in lamplit parlours and bedrooms; useful for late-Victorian dress, interior furnishings and grouped figure poses.
