Lake Country Romances ... With ... illustrations, etc. [Republished from the “Westmorland Gazette.”
A collection of Lake District tales by Herbert V. Mills, gathered from the Westmorland Gazette and issued by Elliot Stock in London in 1892 for general readers. The plates shown are symmetrical pen-drawn tailpieces and headpieces — scrolling foliage, rosettes, acorns and small grotesque faces in fine outline — usable as chapter breaks, corner fills and page furniture.
