A textbook of crystallography and crystallo-physics by John Milne, drawn from lectures given in Yedo (Tokyo) in 1876-77, edited by Thomas Davies of the British Museum mineralogy department and published in London in 1879 for students of mineral science. The plates are white line diagrams reversed out of solid black squares: stereographic projections, spherical triangles, hexagonal axes and lettered construction lines, usable as high-contrast geometric motifs.
