Crane Court. [A novel
A Victorian novel by A. M. Monro, issued in London in 1888 for the circulating-library reading public. The plates held here are not narrative scenes but small wood-engraved plant ornaments — an open rose with buds and toothed leaves, repeated at slightly different inking weights, and a symmetrical tailpiece of cranesbill-like flowers on curved stems — useful as chapter heads, tailpieces, or spot decoration where a compact botanical motif in coarse line is wanted.
