Rambling Recollections of Old Glasgow. By “Nestor.”
A volume of local reminiscences of Glasgow published by J. Tweed in 1880 under the pen name "Nestor," written for city readers who remembered the older streets and trades. Wood-engraved cuts mix the burgh arms and "Let Glasgow Flourish" ribbon with shopfront views, an equestrian statue, a kilted Highlander trade figure and cherubs gathering roses, useful for vignettes, mottoes and decorative tailpieces.
