Notes on the Treatment of Gold Ores

O'DRISCOLL, Florence. · 1889 · Offices of “Engineering” · 48 pictures

A technical handbook on gold ore treatment by Florence O'Driscoll, issued in London in 1889 by the offices of the trade journal "Engineering" for mining engineers and mill operators. The plates and advertisement cuts are small wood-engraved side elevations of steam and mining machinery — winding and pumping engines, portable and compound engines, boilers and flywheels — drawn in fine hatched line with captions set in period display type, useful for machine silhouettes, texture fills, and catalogue-style page furniture.
