A folio of coloured lithographs after field sketches by Thomas O'Neill of the Victoria Nyanza Mission, published in London in 1878 with letterpress from his journal, for supporters of the Church Missionary Society. The 22 plates give wide landscape panoramas of the East African interior — hill ranges in tinted washes, scattered acacias, thatched huts, tents, boats and small figure groups — usable as soft-palette scenery and captioned plate layouts.
