Farming Implements, their various uses and recent modern improvements compared with the old machines. By F. D. P
A British handbook of 1847, signed only "F. D. P.," surveying farm machinery and comparing new implements with the older tools they replaced, written for farmers and agricultural improvers. The 59 wood-engraved figures are plain side elevations of ploughs, rollers, harrows and horse-drawn drills, drawn in thin outline with light hatching on open ground, useful as spare mechanical silhouettes and wheel-and-frame diagrams.
