The Writings of Thomas Paine. Collected and edited by M. D. Conway
A four-volume scholarly edition of Thomas Paine's political and religious writings, collected and annotated by Moncure Daniel Conway and issued by G. P. Putnam's Sons in New York in 1894 for readers of history and reprinted source texts. The plates are printers' ornaments in black line: symmetrical foliate scrolls, cartouches with strapwork and banners, and tapered headpieces usable as dividers, spot decoration, or vector borders.
