Bullen) of Robert Paltock's 1751 prose romance about Peter Wilkins and the winged people of a hidden southern land, printed for collectors of eighteenth-century fiction. The plates reproduce Louis Peter Boitard's original engravings: single standing figures demonstrated front, back and with wing-membranes spread, set against sparse shoreline and cloud, each with an engraved script caption.
