Adam and Eve. [A novel
A three-volume domestic novel by the English writer Louisa Parr, issued in London by Bentley & Son in 1881 for the circulating-library readership. The plates here are small wood-engraved tailpieces: wedge-shaped sprigs of clover, jasmine, forget-me-not and daisies, some with a curling ribbon, drawn in flat black silhouette with fine stems on cream paper, useful as chapter-end ornaments, spot motifs or stencil-like botanical shapes.
