Eveline Wellwood. A story of modern Irish life
A three-volume-era novel of contemporary Irish life by Major Norris Paul, issued by Jarrold & Sons in London in 1892 for the general circulating-library reader. The only plates are repeats of a single printer's headpiece: a symmetrical line-engraved ornament with a woman's head in a plumed crown at the centre, stippled bat-wing brackets and acanthus scrolls sweeping out to either side, with small pendant drops below \u2014 usable as a chapter rule, masthead flourish or stock cartouche.
