An illustrated verse anthology issued in London in 1865 as a new edition, pairing short English poems by Scott and others with wood-engraved designs by Victorian illustrators for a general gift-book readership. Each page sets the text inside a drawn frame, with hunting parties, armoured knights, wizards and cottage groups spilling across the margins in fine grey line, useful for page borders, vignette corner clusters and text-and-image page layouts.
