Кавказская война въ отдѣльныхъ очеркахъ, эпизодахъ, легендахъ и біографіяхъ. том. 1-том. 5. вып 3
Vasily Potto's five-volume history of the Caucasian War, issued in Russian in 1885 as sketches, episodes, legends and biographies for a military and general readership. The plates here are ornamental headpieces: horizontal panels of white foliate scrollwork reversed out of solid black, with rosettes, urns, and confronted griffins, enclosed by stippled frames and rows of triangular fan points that can be lifted as rules, borders, and banner grounds.
