Unser Vaterland. Bilder aus der Deutschen Geschichte, Cultur und Heimathkunde. Herausgegeben von Dr. H. Pröhle, etc
A popular illustrated survey of German history, culture and regional life, edited by Heinrich Pröhle and issued in parts by Oswald Seehagen in Berlin, 1861, for general German readers. Wood engravings mix pastoral landscapes with grazing flocks, town squares with crowds of small figures, scenes of early Germanic settlers, and an allegorical part-title framed in architecture — usable as vignettes, borders and crowd silhouettes.
