Mary Price, etc
Mary Price; or, The Memoirs of a Servant-Maid is a penny-serial melodrama by G. W. M. Reynolds, reissued in London by John Dicks around 1880 for a mass working-class readership. The 52 wood engravings set small groups in parlours, courtrooms and bare lodgings, printed between columns of type: useful for period dress, domestic interiors with longcase clocks and cupboards, and staged gesture.
