The Triumphs of Gods Revenge against the Crying and Execrable Sin of ... Murther ... The seventh ... edition. Whereunto are added ... copper plates
John Reynolds's "The Triumphs of God's Revenge against the Crying and Execrable Sin of Murther," a collection of cautionary murder tales for English readers, printed in London by C. Griffin in 1704 as the seventh edition with added copper plates. Each plate divides into three horizontal strips of small captioned scenes — stabbings, poisonings, beheadings, burnings at the stake, coaches, gallows — usable as sequential narrative panels, figure silhouettes in period dress, and crude outline vignettes.
