Aluminium: its history, occurrence, ... and applications ... Illustrated, etc
A technical treatise on aluminium — its history, occurrence, extraction and uses — written by the metallurgist Joseph William Richards and published in London by Sampson Low & Co. in 1890 for chemists, metallurgists and industrial engineers. The plates are wood-engraved cross-sections of furnaces, crucibles and electrolytic apparatus, drawn in fine outline with hatched and stippled masonry, brick coursing and lettered keys, offering ready-made sectional diagram conventions, engineering hatch textures and numbered figure captions.
