Монголія и страна Тангутовъ, трехлѣтнее путешествіе въ Восточной Нагорной Азіи
Nikolai Przhevalsky's Russian account of a three-year expedition through Mongolia and the Tangut country, published in St Petersburg in 1875 for the Imperial Russian Geographical Society and its scientific subscribers. Coloured lithographed plates show gazelles, blue sheep, chiru and other Central Asian mammals standing on bare ground strips with bilingual Russian-Latin captions, alongside grey-toned lizard plates drawn from above and below; useful for animal silhouettes, horn profiles and Cyrillic specimen labelling.
