A local history of the town of Saint-Bonnet-le-Château in the Forez, compiled by two priests of the Lyon diocese, James Condamin and François Langlois, and published in France in 1885 for regional antiquarian readers. The plates are small black-line drawings recording stonemasons' marks, wrought-iron scrollwork, geometric tracery panels and engraved monograms, isolated on blank ground at a scale that suits use as spot ornaments, logo bases or repeating pattern units.
