Adventures of a Gold-Digger ... Illustrated, etc. [A reissue of “The Gold-Finder of Australia.”
A first-person account of the Australian goldfields by John Sherer, published in London by C. H. Clarke in 1856 for British readers weighing emigration, reissued from "The Gold-Finder of Australia." The 46 wood engravings show diggers at cradles and windlasses, bark-and-canvas huts, bushrangers holding up travellers by moonlight, and families with carts and dogs — useful for figure groups, tents and improvised camp gear.
