The Scenery of Sicily. [Engravings. After drawings by peter De Wint, from sketches by William Light
A portfolio of fifty steel and copper engravings of Sicilian landscape published by Rodwell & Martin in London in 1825, engraved after Peter De Wint's drawings from William Light's on-site sketches for British armchair travellers and Grand Tour readers. Wide tonal views set ruined towers, hill towns and volcanic slopes behind foreground rocks, agaves and framing trees; useful for atmospheric distance, stipple skies and figure groups on roads.
