Royal Ramsgate. Second edition
A second edition of a local guide to the Kent seaside town of Ramsgate, written by James Simson and issued in London by the Victoria Publishing Association in 1897 for visitors and residents. The plates are pen-and-ink views of terraces, harbours, churches and country lanes, each set in a ruled or corner-flourished frame with its title hand-lettered on an unfurling ribbon — useful for borders, cartouche captions and thin-line architectural vignettes.
