A cheap reissue of J. F. Smith's serial melodrama Minnigrey, printed by Bradley & Co. in 1897 for readers of popular installment fiction, with 53 wood-engraved plates after Sir John Gilbert. The plates are full-page crosshatched scenes of crisis — a drowning girl carried from the water, a duel in a lane, crowded tavern and courtroom interiors — each with a bracketed caption line below, usable as loose line-engraved figure groups, period costume reference, and captioned page layouts.
