A 1727 London collection of William Somerville's occasional poems, translations, fables and tales, printed by Bernard Lintot for genteel subscribers and coffee-house readers. The plates are printer's ornaments: woodcut tailpieces of flowers spilling from fluted urns and baskets, framed by acanthus scrolls and strapwork cartouches, repeated at chapter ends and useful as small dividers, spot decorations or borders.
