An enlarged 1871 edition of John Staunton's verse sketches, including St Nicholas' Hill, Manorbier and The Wanderer, printed in Britain for a general poetry-reading public. The plates are small black-and-white line ornaments: triangular tailpieces built from scrolling acanthus, rose, shamrock and thistle sprays, and single leafy vignettes, useful as page dividers, chapter ends, corner fills and repeatable border motifs.
