Bogusz Zygmunt Stęczyński's 1860 Polish album of eighty mountain views of the Pieniny and Tatra ranges, drawn freehand from nature, engraved on stone by the author, and issued with his own descriptive text for Polish readers and travellers. The plates are pure outline lithographs in pale grey-black line, building cliffs, river bends and forested slopes from repeated contour hatching with almost no solid black, and carry hand-lettered Polish place captions and altitude notes beneath the frame.
