A Polish verse account of the Tatra Mountains in twenty-four views, written, drawn and engraved by Bogusz Zygmunt Stęczyński and published in 1860 for readers at home who wanted the range described in both poem and picture. The plates are sparse outline etchings, each captioned with a place name, built from a rocky foreground ledge, a middle valley with river bends and villages, and ridge silhouettes in thin parallel hatching \u2014 useful for line-only landscape backgrounds, tonal hatching samples and framing rock motifs.
