A German handbook of mathematical geography and map projection by Anton Steinhauser, published 1857 for readers without training in higher mathematics. The 142 figures are geometric constructions printed as fine white lines on solid black blocks: hemispheric graticules, degree-marked protractor fans, tangent-cone and stereographic projection schemes, lettered with serif capitals and small numerals, usable as ready-made reversed-out diagram plates.
