Sun Pictures of the Norfolk Broads ... By Payne Jennings. With letterpress description by Ernest R. Suffling. (Second edition.)
A photographic tour of the Norfolk Broads issued by the landscape photographer Payne Jennings in 1892, with descriptive letterpress by Ernest R. Suffling, aimed at tourists and boating visitors to the east of England waterways. The plates are soft-toned halftones paired two to a page, showing gaff-rigged wherries and sailing yachts, reed-fringed river bends, moored hulls, drainage windmills and rowers, with wide flat skies and heavy dark tree masses useful as tonal backdrops and silhouette shapes.
