An eight-volume collected edition of Jonathan Swift's prose, verse, Gulliver's Travels, Irish pamphlets and letters, printed in Dublin by his own publisher George Faulkner in 1746 for subscribing readers. The illustrations are letterpress woodcut headbands and tailpieces worn from reuse: horizontal panels of acanthus scrollwork framing putti, urns of fruit and flowers, birds and masked grotesques, useful as section dividers, borders and repeatable ornament units.
