A Dutch topographical travel book on Switzerland and the Savoy Alps, published 1836, with text by Amsterdam professor N. G. van Kampen and steel engravings after W. H. Bartlett, aimed at armchair travellers and tourists. The plates are pale, finely ruled landscape views: lake shores, mountain valleys, bridges, castles and village churches, with small figures for scale and wide areas of blank sky useful as backgrounds.
