Tavistock Tales. By G. Parker, etc
A collection of Victorian short stories by G. Parker, published in London by Isbister and Co. in 1893 for general family reading. The 42 plates are pen-and-ink drawings with dialogue captions set beneath them: village crowds packed into a doorway, lamplit parlours, a woman reading by a fireside inside a circular vignette, and figures meeting on country paths, useful for hatched line texture and captioned narrative framing.
