The Oxford Thackeray. With illustrations. [Edited with introductions by George Saintsbury
The Oxford Thackeray is George Saintsbury's edited collected edition of William Makepeace Thackeray's works, issued by Oxford University Press in London around 1908, carrying the author's own drawings for general readers and students. The pen sketches are loose caricatures of Victorian crowds, drawing rooms and street scenes, often with handwritten captions in the image, useful for figure groups, top-hatted types and informal lettering.
