The Lakes of England. Illustrated with eighteen coloured etchings
A topographical picture book of the English Lake District by W. F. Topham, published in London in 1869 with eighteen hand-coloured etchings for tourists and armchair travellers. The plates are wide horizontal lake views in pale washes of green, buff and blue, each with a captioned baseline naming the peaks in the skyline, offering usable mountain silhouettes, still water reflections and small engraved place-name lettering.
