A privately published Victorian travel narrative of a voyage to India around the Cape, issued in London in 1895 by illustrator J. C. Anderson, who drew the wood and stone plates from the anonymous author's sketches and his own. The lithographs are pale, fine-lined studies of square-rigged ships under sail in open swell, useful for delicate marine silhouettes, rigging diagrams and tonal cloud and wave textures.
