Miscellaneous Poems and Translations
A 1731 collection of miscellaneous poems and translations by H. Travers, printed in London for subscribers to a gentleman-poet's verse. The plates are printers' ornaments rather than illustrations: woodcut headbands and tailpiece vignettes built from urns, baskets of fruit, daisies, tulips and scrolling acanthus, usable as rules, dividers and repeating borders.
