The Bishop's Wife. A sketch
A short novel published by Richard Bentley & Son in London in 1893 under the pseudonym Dayrell Trelawney (Ada Dayrell Fowler), issued for the circulating-library reading public. The pictures are small black-ink chapter tailpieces: silhouetted sprigs of clover, five-petalled blossoms and fan-shaped leaves arranged in downward-pointing triangles with curling stems and scattered dots, ready to use as spot ornaments, section breaks or repeat motifs.
