A New Centennial History of the State of Kansas, etc
A subscription county-and-state history of Kansas written by Charles Richmond Tuttle and published for the 1876 centennial, sold to local subscribers whose portraits and biographies fill its pages. The plates are steel-engraved oval bust portraits of bearded and whiskered men in frock coats, several set in decorative rectangular borders with corner stars, foliage and a small vignette cartouche above, each signed with an engraved facsimile autograph on a ruled panel below.
